Welcome and thank you for taking the time to look at my website.
Life has always felt like an adventurous journey, probably inspired by my parents career in the forces. At 21 I travelled across to India and found it so refreshing and exciting to see a culture that lived side by side with a strong spiritual faith and practice. Asia quickly felt like home, and it was here that I remained for the best part of the next 13 years. I was deeply touched by the stories of the great spiritual masters and dedicated myself to a life of discovering and understanding my own true spiritual nature.
I was always fascinated with the body and it's energy system and had been studying Kung Fu in the UK. However, it was impossible to attend a regular class whilst travelling so I began to explore the yoga world, reading many books and going to different schools of practice. In that time I also studied Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Reiki and 3D massage. I met Swami Vivikenanda (founder of Agama Yoga), and for 4years lived closely in the yoga community deepening my study of Yogic philosophy, Tantra, Kashmir Saivism and Hatha yoga.
Towards the end of my time teaching with Agama school I felt drawn to Tibetan Buddhism and immersed myself in retreat and the study of the Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism teachings. I was blessed to study with many revered teachers including his holiness the Dalai Lama throughout Asia and here in the UK.
In addition to Yoga and Buddhism I was drawn to Craniosacral Therapy and came across the Karuna Institute (Buddhist based institute) teaching Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in Dartmoor, Devon. It was an exciting time for me as Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) wove together the essence of all these great traditions.
I was fortunate to learn BCST from one of its main founders, Franklyn Sills. Since then, I have participated in many professional development courses with teachers such as William Emerson, Michael Shea, Paul Vick, Matthew Appleton and Claire Dolby; not to mention ongoing retreats and workshops of both yoga and meditation.
